Sonja Theisen is the Executive Vice President, Deputy Chief Financial Officer of Pathward®, N.A. and Pathward Financial, Inc.

Prior to becoming the Executive Vice President, Deputy CFO, Theisen served as Executive Vice President of Governance, Risk and Compliance for Pathward. Having been with Pathward since December 2013, she has held various executive-level roles, including Chief of Staff and Chief Account Officer. She joined Pathward after having served as Senior Vice President of Finance Operations at Great Western Bank. Previously, Theisen was an Audit Manager at Eide Bailly, LLC and KPMG, LLC.
Education:
Theisen holds a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting and a Masters of Public Accounting from the University of South Dakota in Vermillion, South Dakota, and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Professional and Civic:
Passionate about cultivating the next generation of women leaders, Theisen co-launched Pathward’s Network of Women dedicated to empowering women to pursue leadership roles within the organization in addition to personal growth opportunities. She serves as the Chair of the Board of Directors at EmBe, a large, not-for-profit organization in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, that empowers women and families to enrich lives and on the Board at the Lifescape Foundation, a not-for-profit organization in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, that empowers children and adults with disabilities to lead fulfilling lives.
