Anthony Sharett serves as President of Pathward®, N.A. and Pathward Financial, Inc. In this role, he leads Pathward’s Partner Solutions and Commercial Finance strategic business lines, as well as the company’s Business Risk Group, Marketing, Communications, Sustainability and Public Policy teams.
Before being appointed president of Pathward in October 2021, Sharett served in multiple executive-level roles, including Chief Legal and Compliance Officer, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary. Prior to joining the Pathward team, Sharett held several key legal and business unit leadership positions at Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company, culminating as President of Nationwide Pet Insurance, the largest pet insurer in the U.S., and Interim President for Nationwide Bank, a $7 billion institution at that time.
Previously, Sharett served as partner at BakerHostetler, where he was the national co-leader of the firm’s Financial Service Practice Group.

Education:
Sharett earned a Juris Doctor from The Ohio State University, Moritz College of Law, in Columbus, Ohio, where he is a member of the National Council. He graduated from Ball State Unversity in Muncie, Indiana, with a Bachelor of Science in Political Science. Sharett also studied at Westminster College in Oxford, England.

Beyond being a recognized thought leader, Sharett has served on numerous non-profit and for-profit advisory boards, including the Arizona Community Foundation Board of Directors, Greater Phoenix Leadership Board of Directors, Banner Health Foundation Board of Directors, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Board of Trustees, and as Chairman of the DreamSpring Board of Directors.
Greater Phoenix in Business Magazine recognized Sharett among its Top Leaders of 2025. In 2023, the Phoenix Business Journal recognized Sharett as one of the Most Admired Leaders in the area, and the Arizona Capitol Times named him to its 2023 Banking and Financial Services PowerList.
