HR Executive: “Why this remote-first company still prioritizes ‘intentional connection’”

Pathward’s Executive Vice President and Chief People and Culture Officer, Anjana Berde, spoke with Jen Colletta, managing editor at HR Executive.

During the interview, Berde reflected on her first few weeks in her new role, including attending Pathward’s first Dare to be Great Employee Summit in Atlanta. She noted, “Dare to Be Great is yet another example of bringing together as many employees as we could in one setting to build on those connections forged through remote work. It was a fantastic event for me as a newer member—being able to meet almost 700 employees.”

Berde shared the reasoning for Pathward’s Talent Anywhere strategy and approach to remote work and highlighted the importance of intentional connection in this type of environment. She shared some of the ways Pathward creates opportunities for employees to connect.
