Travillian Next Podcast: “Culture as a Talent Magnet: How Pathward Earned an 84% Employee Satisfaction Score”

During an episode of the Travillian Next Podcast, Pathward’s President Anthony Sharett spoke with podcast host and Chief Research Officer of Travillian Amber Buker.

During the conversation, the two explored the intersection of leadership, talent strategy and culture as banks continue to adapt to a digital-first landscape. Sharett shared how Pathward’s purpose of powering financial inclusion and access for the unbanked, underbanked and underserved plays into the company’s approach to talent.

“It all starts with our purpose. And [secondly], our culture. . . So when we hire employees here at Pathward, one of the first things we talk to them about is how important both our purpose and our culture is, and what that means for our operating norms, our values and the behaviors that we want to see when we hire,” Sharett shared during the podcast interview.

Sharett and Buker also discussed Pathward’s “talent anywhere” strategy and how flexible work models have become a competitive advantage in attracting high-quality talent.

With an 84% employee satisfaction score from survey participants, Pathward earned its third consecutive Great Place to Work certification in 2025.
